  2. Background Information on The New York Rangers Red white and blue. The New York Rangers are representing the statue of liberty coming out of New York City. The team has no mascot. It has been in existence for as long as you can remember hockey being played. This year they started the season with the best record in the league, 29 wins 11 losses and 4 overtime losses.
