  2. Philosophy – I believe that discipline is creating an environment where learning is at its Best. 1. Teachers have the right to teach. 2. Students have the right to learn. 3. Everyone is responsible for his or her own behavior.

  3. Expectations What your child needs to do to live happily ever after in Mrs. A’s class  • Be on time (learning starts as soon as the bell rings at 7:50) • Be polite • Be prepared • Be a participator • Be respectful • Be a risk taker

  4. Consequences 1st~~Warning 2nd ~~Privilege removed (ie. Not allowed to remain with students who want to learn) 3rd~~Parent contact 4th~~After school detention (24 hours notice)

  5. Homework Your child will work very hard at school and I feel very strongly that when they leave school, they need to release energy and get ready for a new day. With that being said, I also feel that extra practice at home will help “cement” the learning. Assigned homework will come in the Tuesday folder and is due the following Monday. On top of that, your child is expected to read a minimum of 1 hour a week and to practice math skills at home. A weekly log will be sent home for documentation.

  6. I am so excited to work with you and your child this year! I would love to keep in contact with each and every one of you to let you know how we are meeting our targets of learning. The easiest way for me to accomplish this task is by email. If you have email, please provide it to me. I plan to send weekly announcements out. Also, you can always check out my webpage to see what we are up to in class!!
