PROTECTIVE LABOUR LEGISLATION • PROTECTIVE LABOUR LEGISLATION • Liberalisation of protective labour legislation since the 1990s • Increase of short term contracts and temporary employment: 45% in EU 27 • Spain: 80% - Portugal: 70% • Lower income and lower investment in human capital • Number of NEET increasing YOUTH UNEMPLOYMENT
