  3. THE COMMA IN A SERIES • Use commas to separate items in a series. •  What is a ”series”?   A “series” is a list of 3 or more items, the last two of which are joined by and, or, or nor.

  4. EXAMPLES • There are two type of series: 1- series of a single words: -Please put cups, jars, and plates into the cabinet. 2- series of phrase/clause -For the hiking trip, we needed to pack lunch, chocolate and trail mix.
