  2. When do I use a comma? • Commas are used in many different ways. • We are going to learn one way a comma is used. Always use a comma when you are making a list. I have apples bananas and oranges. , ,

  3. Look Where Commas Go! • Plants need sun, air, and water. • I have a book, pencil, and paper. • I ate pizza, chips, and cookies. • I like to read, play, and sleep. • I have a dog, cat, and lizard. • My teacher is smart, pretty, and fun! TIP: If you are listing 3 things, you only need 2 commas!

  4. Look Where Commas Go! • I don’t like bugs, snakes, spiders, or mice. • Roses can be red, yellow, white, or pink. • You can choose a movie, toy, shirt, or game at the store. • Do you want chicken, burgers, hot dogs, or grilled cheese for dinner? • Dogs can be black, brown, white, or gray. • Do we have P.E., art, music, or library today? TIP: If you are listing 4 things, you only need 3 commas!
