VMware VI OPS Portal Registered User Survey

In January 2009, a survey was conducted with 98 registered users of the VMware VI OPS Portal. Out of 1,577 survey requests sent, we received valuable feedback primarily from technology professionals in architect and operations roles, with 98% being VMware users. The results were largely positive, indicating that users appreciate the site's purpose and user interface. Key requests included more proven practices and additional resources like whitepapers. Notably, lack of time was cited as a primary reason for not contributing content to the portal.

Executive Summary Survey results from 98 registered users of VIOPS Portal • Total 1577 received survey request • Most responders are technology people in architect and operations roles • 98% of responders are VMware users Results generally positive • Users understand the purpose of the site and are happy with user interface • Users want more proven practices and also other information like whitepapers • Primary reason for not contributing to the site was “lack of time” followed by “don’t think I have anything to contribute”
