Webinars and Workshops • Hold Bi-Monthly Webinars (Recordings and Slides posted on IGIC Blog under Education & Outreach) • Collaborate with GENI & State Library Data Center on Geospatial education events • Support Annual ISPLS Convention with GIS Workshops • Coordinate & Support Education topics with Conference Committee

Annual Government GIS Forum • In 2016 we celebrated our 10th anniversary of the Forum! • Annual average attendance over 75 • Representatives from federal, state, county and city/town governments across Indiana • In 2015 expanded participation in morning sessions to include corporate members and sponsors • Goals • Discuss current trends of interest to this community • Identify opportunities for collaboration

  8. 2017 Conference Geospatial Drop-in Clinic - The GIS Doctors Are In! IGIC's Education Committee conducted a survey earlier this year to identify geospatial education topics of interest and most in demand by our members. So, here is your chance to talk to an expert on your topic of interest. Please drop by for 10 minutes or for the full session to get your questions answered, or if you are just interested in learning more about one of the following geospatial topics: • Minute Clinic (any topic or issues) • Emergency Management • Transportation • Utilities Top Topics from Survey Results

GIS Short Stories • 5-minute web-videos from members of our Indiana GIS community that tell a story about their successes • Publish as a Story Map of best practices for GIS professional who want to see how others have accomplished something they want to do or do better Do you know someone – or are YOU someone - who has a story to tell that we should contact

  13. What can you do? • Become a member of the committee - just one hour a week (at a time) • Webinar presenter • Help organize a specific event • Develop materials to support a workshop or some other Committee initiative • Spread the word about Education Committee (and other IGIC) activities
