  2. Hesitation • A delay due to uncertainty of mind or fear. • The hesitation made me feel very nervous about the choice I was about to make.

  3. Nonchalantly • Cooly unconcerned. • I am nonchalantly about the quiz on Friday.

  4. Rebellious • Defying or resisting some established authority. • She was rebellious when she found out she had to move.

  5. Editorial • An article in a newspaper or other periodical presenting the opinion of the publisher, editor, and editors. • The editorial in the brochure gave us very useful information on our tour.

  6. Incredulous • Disinclined to believe. • The theory was incredulous because of how unreal it was.

  7. Sympathetic • Characterized by proceeding from , exhibiting, or feeling sympathy. • I was sympathetic to the family who lost their friend.

  8. Sarcasm • Harsh or bitter derision or irony. • His sarcasm about my paper was not funny.

  9. Reputation • The estimation in which a person or thing is held. • I have a reputation to uphold in school.

  10. Unfathomable • Not capable of being fathomed. • She was so thirsty that it was unfathomable.

  11. Rivalry • The action, position, or relation of a rival or rivals. • There was a rivalry between the Texas High Tigers and the Arkansas High Hogs.
