  2. Apprehensive – p. 59 • Adjective • Fearful of what may be coming • Synonyms: fearful • I had an apprehensive feeling on my way to school, knowing that I did not study for my math test.

  3. Contempt – p. 59 • Noun • The act of despising • Synonyms: disdain, scorn • The animal rights activist had severe contempt for anyone who abuses animals.
