  3. SEAC – A Low Risk Option • SEAC employs the Apprentice – Assumes full and legal employer responsibility for Apprentice: • Health and Safety, • Safeguarding • Performance Management • Disciplinary and Grievance procedure • Pay rolling.

  4. SEAC - The Benefits • Advice on Apprentice’s role • Source training provision and negotiate contribution to training costs. • Safety net • Full recruitment service provided • Apprenticeship support for duration of training period (Host Company and Apprentice) • Impartial problem solving role

  5. What types of company • SMEs – no infrastructure to employ • First Apprentice • Head count problems • Recruitment Freeze • Companies who may wish to consider job share • Other business reasons for not wanting to employ direct

  6. Support and Monitoring • Support reflects specific Host Company and Apprentice needs • Day to day performance managed by Host Company • Performance issues managed by SEAC in consultation with Host Company as required • Regular email, text and telephone contact • Face to face meetings as required

  7. The costs • Apprentice’s wage • Contribution to training for Apprentices aged 19+ (paid direct to training provider) • Employer Statutory NI contribution (as applicable) • SEAC service fee of 20% based on Apprentice’s wage • No fee to take on Apprentice direct at end of Apprenticeship OFFERING REAL VALUE FOR MONEY

  8. Host company Commitment • Commitment for duration of Apprenticeship • A full and thorough induction to the role and organisation • Providing a Work Place supervisor/Mentor • On the job training and supervision • Time allowed to spend with Assessor and for off site training /activities • Payment of the Apprentice’s wages – SEAC invoice company • Payment of contribution to training direct to Training Provider/College
