  3. Early Life • Rivers wasborn on June 13th, 1970 in New York • He spenthischildhood on a Hindu Ashram whereheattendedprivateschool in Connecticut • After high school Rivers moved to Las Angeles to begin a career in music

  4. Avant Garde • Whilestill living in Connecticut, Rivers formedhis first band Avant Garde • In 1989 the band moved to Las Angeles • The band dissolved in 1990 changingitsname to Zoom

  5. Weezer • Rivers Cuomo, Patrick Wilson, Matt Sharp, and Jason Cropperjoined forces to createWeezer in 1992 • One yearlater the band signed a record deal withGeffen Records • « The Blue Album  » wasreleased as the bands first album.
