  3. PATS Background & Overview • Location: Paducah, KY • Population: 26,307 (city); Service area = 127,981 • Other Regional Partners: 2 Rural public transit authorities & Easter Seals • Hours of Operation: 4:00 am – 11:00 pm • Annual Passenger Trips: 573,210

Mobility Management Services • Current Services Provided: • Fixed route (6 routes) • ADA paratransit & Demand Response • Taxi • Coordinated human service transportation (200 contracts) • Regional Medicaid Provider (3 counties in KY - and soon in So. ILL) • Airport shuttle (linkage with Northwest Airlines) • Regional trip coordination (PART)

Mobility Management Services • Current Services Provided: • Package & movie delivery • UPS/FedEx service • Railroad and barge lines services • Downtown trolley (i.e. Chamber of Commerce) • Special events (i.e. National Quilt Show, Riverboat tourists) • Vanpools (i.e. US Army Corp. of Engineers) • FEMA Tier II National Emergency Response

  8. Mobility Management Services • Mobile driving simulator • Trained over 1,000 persons in KY, MO, NV, OH, TN, & WV • Multiple simulated driving/vehicle scenarios • PATS Accident rate: Pre-simulator = 2.6 per 100,000 miles; Current = 1.45 per 100,000 miles

Advanced Technologies • Supporting Mobility Management • RouteMatch Software: • Computer assisted scheduling, dispatching, reporting, & billing • Business Intelligence (RouteMatch MC) • Mentor AVL/MDC – all vehicles • Medicaid Broker - Provider Electronic connection • 800 Megahertz radio system • Kentucky Relay (TDD/TTY) service • REI – Onboard security cameras

New Mobility Management Initiatives • USDOT Mobility Services for All Americans (MSAA) Transportation Management Coordination Center (TMCC) • Customer-focused centralized regional point of information & services for: • Transportation • Human service & community organizations • Accessible by: • Telephone, Internet, Walk-in, and Kiosks • Multi-lingual service availability

New Mobility Management Initiatives • MSAA Phase 1: Year 1 (Commencing in Spring 2010) • RouteMatch Software (paratransit) for all providers (PATS to host) • Mentor AVL/MDC for all providers • Telecommunications infrastructure • Internet website • Interactive Voice Recognition (IVR) • Human Service Information & Referral database (online and telephone access) • Internet link with KY511

New Mobility Management Initiatives • Facility expansion: • Build a new maintenance facility • Expand current administrative, operations, and customer service center • Continued fixed route transfer center • Greyhound services & ticketing agent • Make available new office space for community organizations to meet customers • Enclosed outdoor bus shelters at major activity centers – solar powered
