Capital Planning • All planned projects greater than $5.0 million regardless of funding source & debt funded projects • Criteria used to prioritize projects: • the relationship to the campus strategic plan • facility renewal & reinvestment • functional sustainability • availability of funding • plans for on-going operational support • Additional criteria for projects proposed for state capital funding 43

State Support for Capital Projects FY2001 - FY2014 • FY 2001 - MU Life Sciences Building 29.9 m • FY 2002 – MU Arena 31.1 m • FY 2004 – UMKC Pharmacy/Nursing Building 30.5 m • FY 2008 – LCDI Projects: S&T ME Addition, UMKC Pharmacy/Nursing, Dental Equipment, Ag Station Projects. 41.2 m • FY 2009 – Ag Station & UMSL Optometry, UMKC Dental Addition, MU Nursing/Health Professions planning 8.1 m • FY 2010 – Mid Mo Renovations 13.0 m 14 YEARS TOTAL CAPITAL SUPPORT 153.8 m = $11.0 m/year or $2.2 m/year/campus
