  2. On April 21, the Texans were informed that some Mexican troops had crossed a nearby bridge. Houston told his army to burn down all the bridges , so that nobody could retreat. At 3:30, the Texans moved out toward the Mexican camp. “Remember the Alamo!” they screamed. The Mexicans were taken by surprise and tried to retreat , but the Texans followed. S anta Anna was captured , but later allowed to return to Mexico. The Texans won in this battle! Summary

  5. If we didn’t have the Battle of San Jacinto, we would still be part of Mexico. I wouldn’t have typed this up. Would we be born? How would we learn? Would anybody have ever landed on the moon. Would we have computers , technology? Where would you live? What about everybody else? We would not be a part of the United Sates! What if?
