As a senior, ensure you complete key steps for college applications this November and December. Apply to your top choice schools and remember to account for application fees, which are mostly online—prepare a debit or credit card for payments. Keep in mind that ACT scores will post online before you receive official results, and only the official copy is acceptable by colleges. Don’t overlook scholarship applications—these can provide vital extra funds for your education. Treat applying for scholarships like a job, and remember to submit everything early!

“I don’t need to fill out scholarship applications, I’m using my A+ money.” (not a smart statement)
Scholarships can be extra $ in your pocket. • You still have your 3rd and 4th years to pay for. • A+ is ONLY tuition and fees. • Think about room and board, meals, books, class supplies, gasoline, spending money
Scholarships • Treat this like a job • Make copies of everything you do. • Save reference letters and essays. • They are all on the website: www.eldo.k12.mo.us/HS/Counselor/ Scholarships.html *if they aren’t there, they aren’t available yet!!!
