Energy Simulation Analysis for Beam Test Data

This to-do list outlines tasks for finalizing simulation data, evaluating energy reconstruction, and simulating realistic lengths for various components. Tasks include analyzing beam test data and optimizing GEMs. Additional tasks involve background evaluation and simulating fake coincidences with beam and signal data.

  1. LUMI simulation:To-do list B. VIAUD LAL, Orsay 11/03/2008

  2. To do list… • Essentially: data/MC to finalize the simulation • Energy reconstruction, module by module / sector by sector • simulate realistic lengths for the WLS • resolution • efficiency of various cuts • rate variation between sectors • Use current data + finish to analyse the beamtest data • variations as a function of phi and theta (once the GEMs are operational) • GEMs • check the position • rate variation between various cells • lumi from GEM vs. lumi from Calo • Position of the photon detectors • Better inclusion of Siddharta Material (Paolo V.’s talk). • probably a few other things…

  3. To do list… • Background evaluation • mix backgrounds from both beams + signal to simulate fake coincidences.
