Events: • L.O.T.S. • Conclave Workdays: • October 23, 2010 • November 13, 2010 • January 26, 2011 • February 19, 2011 • March 12, 2011* • April 9, 2011 • MarchWorkday* • One Day of Service: • Spring Fellowship • Ordeal I & II • Parent Sons I and II • Fall Fellowship • Featherfest/Vigil • Annual Banquet • Chapter Events Bolded events have some degree of service Wahissa Lodge host several events which are partially or completely focused on service to camp or our community which include the following:

  4. Spring Fellowship/Ordeals

  5. Workdays/One Day of Service

  6. Projects completed at camp in the past year • Set up of summer camp tents • Took down summer camp tents • Cleared winter storm damage • Trail work: • Knob trail • Wahissa Trail • Lake trail • Dancer trail • Completion of the Lodge Courtyard • Erosion control throughout camp • Cleaning and clearing of dinning hall • Cleaning of all other major program areas • Repair work to bunks • Complete renovation of the Lodge Building (with some help of course)

  7. Combined hours of service is estimated to be around 11,500 hours

Conclave at a glance: • Number of years in the planning: 2.5 years • Number of youth/adult leadership positions: 30 youth and adults • Number of Conclave Staff: 425 • Number of Conclave participants: About 1400 • Number of inches it rained: Still adding that up… • Wahissa Lodge stood out due to our: • Hospitality • Logistics team • Facilities • Food • Large staff

  12. Part 4: Lodge Building

  13. Since last summer… • Reinforcements on the roof • New tin roof • Board and baton the front, sides,and back • Tin roofing on lower sides • Exhaust fans installed running between cubbies and outside • Tree in back cut down and made into a table • Roof extended to cover back porch • Concrete base extended to make a large back porch • Large industrial size fans installed in attic to circulate air in the lodge • 4 Doc Bennet carvings made to hang outside • New lighting outside • Competition of the courtyard • Staining of the concrete base • Squaring off the sides • Widened doorway on chair closet • New interior doors • Divider installed to make two closets • Extra shelving installed in closets • New urinals • New kitchen cabinets • New sink • New mirrors • New refrigerator • New microwave • Painted floor • New OA logo design painted on the floor • Painted walls ceiling to floor • New trimming put in • 6 new tables • 4 new rugs • Redone window between main room and kitchen • Extra insulation installed • And cleaned very very well.

  22. Email Campaigns • Email campaigns allow us to send out more news more often for a cheaper price. • Has been used for events, conclave and regular newsletters.
