  2. Puzzle rules • You will be navigating from the top left corner to the bottom right • The puzzle is made up of tiles that have different shapes, shape colors and background colors • See next slide

  4. Puzzle rules • You will be navigating from the top left corner to the bottom right • The puzzle is made up of tiles that have different shapes, shape colors and background colors • In order to move to a new tile it must match either your current tile’s shape, shape color or background color

  5. Puzzle Demonstration • On the following slide you’ll click through a brief demonstration of the puzzles you will be completing today

  6. Start here! Move by background color (green to green) Then by shape (octopus to octopus) Shape again Shape again If you choose a move that does not match any by shape, shape color or background color, the shape will flash and an error will sound Shape again And finally, shape color The correct move is by shape color (orange to orange) Shape color again

  7. When you finish a puzzle, begin the next one by clicking back in the top left corner

  8. For the experiment • Your goal is to navigate through the puzzle as quickly as possible without making errors • There will only ever be one right move at a given time • If you choose a wrong move (one that doesn’t match in shape, shape color, or background color) you will receive an error • The program will return to the main menu once all puzzle trials are complete
