Population Facts/ Ethnic cont. • It is the 4th most popular county in Europe. • It is 23 most popular in the world. • In the end of year 2008 the population surpassed 60 million.
Language • Its official language is Italian. • 120 to 150 Italians use Italian as the second or most spoken language. • It has retained the contrast between short and long consonants.
Language cont. • Italian is considered to be the most closest to Latin in terms of vocabulary • It has numerous languages spoken all over. • Evan in Italy some people don’t know Italian. • But in adding the educational system the decrease in not knowing Italian has gone down.
Religion • 90% is roman catholic • 10% includes mature protestants and Jewish communities and a growing Muslim immigrant community • Most beleve in god or some spritual life force.
