Welcome Families! • Welcome to our classroom. • Beginning with the End in Mind, my goals for Open House are: • To help parents understand the work their child will be doing throughout the school year. • To explain the expectations of your child. • To share information about how you can support your child’s learning.

  3. A little information about me… • I have 20 years teaching experience in grades K – 8; regular education and gifted education. • I have children of my own (a 5th & an 8th grader) so I value the importance of family and wanting what is best for your child.

  4. My Philosophy • I believe all students can and will learn. • I strive to meet the needs of all students.

Students we given a schedule in their blue & white folder.

Homework • Homework is seen as an extension of classroom learning. • Students will have homework packet that will start in the next few weeks. • I will come home on Fridays and be due on Thursdays. • There will be places for parents to sign off, please look over your child’s work with them! • It will include: Homework – weekly assignment sheet - Reading Log • Study Island • Physical Activity • Vocabulary review & practice • Family Time and discussion
