Potential Inclusions • Product standardization with sustainability attributes considered • Institute alternative packaging requirements and take back programs • Develop a supplier scorecard including a sustainability measure • Identify a waiver process for purchases that are not sustainable • Cross collaboration with peer institutions, suppliers, industry in support of energy efficient laboratory equipment. • Increase education within the university community as to the advantages of a strong sustainable procurement program. • Increase education amongst the Procurement staff as a precursor to educating the university community on the benefits of such a program. • Internal collaboration across the campus to engage in the establishment of standards, review of options, and selection of energy efficient equipment for use in campus facilities. • Others………….
