RMC Meeting • The purpose of the JAPC is to share resources, creates synergy in audits and limits audits to suppliers. • JAPC membership includes several major primes. • JAPC implements NPD 8720.5 that authorizes 3rd Party Registration as basis for suppliers entry on members ASL. • JAPC audits are risk based. • JAPC is encouraged to use common reporting tool - Survey, Audits, Assessments, and Reviews Information System (SAARIS) • When audits are scheduled of OASIS Registered suppliers the JAPC: • Reviews OASIS and requests last audit. • Notifies supplier and registrar of JAPC audit. • Provides audit report to Feedback Loop. • Provides supplier responses and JAPC Closure. • Obtains clarification/interpretations disagreements from (Buddy?) • Requests Registrar follow-up on JAPC findings. (JAPC will follow-up on all Major Findings)

  4. RMC Meeting Problems and suggested improvements to the ICOP Scheme: There is still a “perception by some” in the JAPC that 3rd Party Certification is not as rigorous as 2nd Party Audits. Propose/encourage Registrars to participate in JAPC audits of their clients. Propose JAPC develop Registrar metrics, set goals and share data with the RMC. Participate in the supplemental oversight process. Track changes to all JAPC suppliers in OASIS for changes in risk profile.

  5. RMC Meeting Positive outcomes form including the registrars in JAPC audits is: • Demonstrate to the suppliers that the JAPC members supports a rigorous 3rd party registration scheme. • Demonstrate to the registrars that the JAPC values there rigorous support of the 3rd party scheme. • Provides both the supplier and the registrars insight into what the JAPC considers to be important in the suppliers QMS. • Provides an improved supply chain by ensuring more competent suppliers.
