Initial Project Technical Model Generation • 5KWatts of reliable off-grid Solar electricity to power about 20 homes. • 40 interconnected 210watts solar panels • 14 200AHR, 24volts deep cycle batteries • 5KWatts off-grid Inverter • 80 Amperes Charge controller • Remote Monitoring Facilities Transmission • Hybrid Mini-grid Network consisting of; • Ring Network: 30mm Armoured Cable, covers settlement perimeter • Serial Network: 6mm Armoured cable tapped from Ring to Nodes. Distribution • Star connection from Nodes to Houses • Wiring of individual houses • Isolator and emergency devices at designated locations. • lighting points and sockets for appliances
