How the BMTS operates • BMTS is a 501(c)3 non profit organization • Donate items to BMTS for a tax deduction • Donors receive market value tax deduction • Buyers pay 50 % - 70 % below retail

Benefits • Divert waste from landfill (40,000 lbs. on last demo) by salvaging materials for reuse instead of throwing them away • Create jobs and new market • Proceeds benefit the Wood River Land Trust protecting land, water and wildlife habitat in the Wood River Valley and surrounding areas • Reduce tipping fees at Ohio Gulch by reducing the amount of waste. • Conserve natural resources by incorporating reused materials into your project. • Save $ by buying salvaged materials. • Tell a story and create interest and character by using some of the one-of-a-kind pieces found at the BMTS

Uncommon Uses • Hospital Gurneys sent to Haiti after earthquake • X ray machine – Disconnected by Journeyman Electrician then sent to Viet Nam for a new Imaging clinic
