Yaacov Agam • Born in 1928- in Palestine. • One of the most famous Kinetic artist • He first experimented with movement in the 1950s. • Kinetic Art, form of art, usually sculpture, in which movement is an integral part. The agent of that movement may be a current of air, water, a clockwork or motorized mechanism, magnetic forces, or the actions of the spectator.

  4. 7th and 8th grade Art 1 Kinetic ART project Procedures: • Each student will receive 2 different sheets to create 2 paintings • Make 2 DIFFERENT art pieces • One landscape • And one cityscape

  5. After artwork is done: • Turn artwork over and mark 1” apart along the top and bottom. Connect the marks with lines to make strips. • NUMBER THEM 1-12 and CUT the strips apart. • Glue onto a piece of heavy paper 1 from 1 art work and 1 from another and so on. • Fold like an accordion. • Mount on black tag board.

  6. What if there are 3 paintings? • The following slides are made from 3 pieces of art work and a heavy 9” x 24” backing

This is how you are going to be graded • Art work ideas are landscapes and cityscapes (or opposites. i.e. day and night, winter and summer, land and sea) • Used pencils and colored pencils, markers and crayons, watercolor or tempera paint and pencils • Art work is neat, page is filled up and a close attention to details. • Proper use of materials and classroom behavior. • Cutting, gluing, folding and mounting onto a Black piece of tag board is NEAT.
