Strategy • NSDS/RSDS support in 16 countries or regional entities, mostly in Africa but a good balance in other regions • Strengthening Statistical Systems (law, quality) in 2 countries • CRESS: 2 countries • Support to funding:National Statistical Development Fund • Mainstreaming sectors: agriculture • User-Producer Dialogues in 7 countries and one region • General Advocacy in 9 countries • With partners: AUC, UNECA, AfDB, Afristat, SPC, SICA

Access • International Household Survey Network (IHSN) • Microdata Management Toolkit has become a freeware – DDI standard undergoing ISO certification process • IHSN Central Survey Catalogue: Over 3,300 surveys • Data Deposit Tool: to acquire datasets from other producers • Microdata anonymisation tools: first version of the toolbox designed • Bibliography of data-related citations: more than 9,000 entries • Guidelines on survey planning designed • Survey Budgeting application: first generic application developed • Accelerated Data Program (ADP) • 67 countries have received technical and financial support for inventory, documentation and dissemination of existing microdata • National Data Archive Application (NADA): used by more than 50 NSOs and IHSN members (WB, WHO, WFP, etc.) – version 4.2 available • Regional trainings in Africa, Asia and LAC • With partners: Afristat, FAO, AfDB, WB country offices, SPC, SICA, CAN • External evaluation undertaken

Financial Update • Expenditures 2013: a busyyear ! • Core/NSDS activities: 1.8 Million € (excludingcorporatecosts) = +13% comparedwith 2012 • ADP/IHSN activities: 1.8 Million € (excludingcorporatecosts) = almostsimilar to 2012 • New grantsreceived in 2013: a very positive year! • CORE/NSDS activities: 9 new grants for a total amount of 5.5 Million € (most of them are multi-annual) • ADP/IHSN activities: 2 new grants for a total amount of 1.4 Million € (multi-annual)
