ANNUAL REPORT 2013 MEETINGS AGM. Annual General Meeting & Executive Committee Meeting held at Classic Hotel, Imphal on 29th January, 2013 under the Chairmanship of Mr. S. Regunathan, IAS (Retd), President IKCA. EC Meeting. Executive Committee Meeting held at Web and Waves, Upper Lake, Bhopal on 6th July, 2013 under the Chairmanship of Mr. S. Regunathan, President of IKCA. ACC EC Meeting. Mr. S Regunathan, Vice President ACC & President IKCA attended the EC Meeting of ACC at Tokyo Japan from 5th to 7th April, 2013. ACC Ordinary Congress. Mr. S. Regunathan, President and Mr. B.S. Kushwaha, Secretary General attended the ACC Ordinary Congress held at Samarqand, Uzbekistan on 24th Sep 2013.

ANNUAL REPORT 2013 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS 23rd National Canoe Sprint Championships held at Komlakhong Water Sports Complex, MayangImphal, Imphal West, Manipur from 30 January to 04 February, 2013. 23 Teams from State Associations/Affiliated Units took part. On 30th January, 2013, the meet was inaugurated by His Excellency GurbachanJagat, Governor of Manipur. For the closing ceremony and prize distribution the Hon’ble Minister of PWD & Waqf Board Government of Manipur, Shri Rattan Kumar Singh came for the prize distribution and declaring the games closed. Trophies were given to the winners and runner up Teams. The event ended on a very high note. A large number of the local public also witnessed the event from the first day to till the closing.

ANNUAL REPORT 2013 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS Excellent arrangements made for board and lodging for the paddlers and the officials. Mr. Jamesboy Singh of SSCB won 6 Gold Medals in Canoe Men Senior and selected as the Best Athlete in Men Category. Ms. TwishaKaranam of A.P won 4 Gold and 1 Silver Medals in Kayak Women Junior and selected as the Best Athlete in Women Category. ANNUAL REPORT 2013 NATIONAL COACHING CAMP National Coaching Camp for preparation of Indian Team in following International events held :- 2013 ICF Ranking Canoe Slalom Championships at Kanupark, Markkleeberg, Germany held from 11 Feb to 27 Mar 2013 at SAI Bhopal. 20 Paddlers, 2 Coaches and 1 Support Staff participated. 8th Asian Canoe Slalom Championships (Sr & Jr) at Shueili and Sun Moon Lake, Nantou, Chinese Taipei held from 20 Apr to 21 May 2013 at SAI Bhopal. 18 Paddlers (14 Sr & 4 Jr), 4 Coaches and 2 Support Staffs participated. 2013 ICF Junior & Under 23 Canoe Sprint World Championships at Ontario, Canada held from 01 to 28 July 2013 at SAI Bhopal. 54 Paddlers (32 Men & 22 Women), 8 Coaches and 4 Support Staffs participated.

ANNUAL REPORT 2013 NATIONAL COACHING CAMP 2013 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships Duisburg, Germany held from 22 July to 25 August 2013 at SAI Bhopal. 25 Paddlers (15 Men & 10 Women), 3 Coaches and 2 Support Staffs participated. 15th Asian Canoe Sprint Championships at Samarqand, Uzbekistan held from 16 August to 21 September 2013 for Juniors and from 01 to 21 September 2013 for Seniors at SAI Bhopal. In the Junior Camp 29 Paddlers (17 Men & 12 Women), 7 Coaches & 2 Support Staff and in the Senior Camp 29 Paddlers (18 Men & 11 Women), 4 Coaches & 2 Support Staff participated.

Indian Team consisting of 15 members participated in the above Championships from 01 to 04 August 2013. Details of participants are as under :- Canoe Men - 03 Paracanoe Men - 02 Kayak Women - 04 Canoe Women - 03 Coaches - 02 Support Staff - 01 2013 ICF Women Canoe Cup 2 Competitions at Boulogne Canoe Club, Paris, France. Ms. Betty Joseph, Woman Canoe participated ICF Development and Talent Identification Programme for Women Canoe from 02 to 06 September, 2013 and Women Canoe Cup 2 Competition from 7 to 8 September, 2013. She won Bronze Medal in C-4 200M with other team members from US, Turkey & Vietnam.

ANNUAL REPORT 2013 PERFORMANCE – 15TH ASIAN CANOE SPRINT CHAMPIONSHIPS Performance of the Athletes. 22 Asian Countries participated in these Championships. The Senior Team positioned 7th with four Bronze Medals and the Junior Team positioned at 4th with one Silver & four Bronze Medals in Medal Tally.

ANNUAL REPORT 2013 INTERNATIONAL EVENTS HELD IN INDIA 15th Asian Canoe Polo Championships (Men, Women & U 21 Men) at Dr. S.P. Mukherjee Swimming Pool Complex/Talkatora Swimming Pool, New Delhi. 170 Athletes & Officials from 6 Asian Countries including Indian Team participated in this Championship from 17 to 20 October, 2013. Performance of the Teams are as under :-

ANNUAL REPORT 2013 COURSES CONDUCTED ICF Dragon Boat Coaches Course & ITO Examination held H2O Water Sports Centre, Girgaon, Mumbai from 19 to 21 February, 2013 under the aegis of International Canoe Federation. 38 candidates including 15 from IKCA attended the course & examination. Mr. CsabaZanto, ICF Expert and Dr. LukWai Hung, Chairman ACC DBR Committee were the Chief Instructors. ICF Canoe Polo ITO Examination held at Dr. S.P. Mukherjee Swimming Pool Complex during the 15th Asian Canoe Polo Championships. 16 candidates including eight from IKCA attended the examination. Mr. Duncan Chocrane, Chairman ICF Canoe Polo Committee was the Chief Instructor.
