Context of the regionalization strategy for Nodes • Part of theWorkProgramme 2011 • Follows last year recommendations of the NODES Committee • Endorsed by the Executive Committee • Aimed to improve decision making in NODES and to work in closer collaboration with Secretariat and Science Committee • … while maintaining the global the global dimension in terms of communication and collaboration among nodes • To be meaningful, It requires active participation on the side of nodes and real communication between HoDs and Node managers

Proposed Roadmap (ToR) (1/2) Summary report from the 2010 Regional Workshops presented to the GB Oct Recommendations presented by the Ad Hoc Nodes Executive Committee discussed and adopted by the GB Nov Dec Preparation of new ToR for the Nodes Committee (draft 1.0) Jan Consultation with NODES on the new ToR (draft 1.0) Feb New ToR for the Nodes Committee (draft 2.0) presented to the SC, RC for comments and feedback Mar New ToR for the Nodes Committee (draft 2.0) presented to the EC for discussion Apr May Jun New ToR for the Nodes Committee (draft 3.0) circulated to the HoDs for comments and feedback Jul Final draft of the new ToR for the Nodes Committee ready for approval and adoption at GB18 Ago Sep Oct 1st meeting of the new Nodes Executive Committee
