  3. Thesis choices (in no specific order) 1. In the play Othello, Iago is the epitome of a villain who both deceitful and power-hungry but views himself as an ambitious genius. 2. In Shakespeare’s Othello, Iago sees himself as an unfortunate soul who is trying to improve his situation, but the audience sees Iago as evil. 3. The character Iago, in Shakespeare’s Othello thinks very highly of himself while the reader realizes he is the villain of the drama.

In William Shakespeare’s play, Othello, the character of Iago plays a manipulative role, but he sees this as a positive. 6.
