The YK Delta Regional Resource Coordination Plan aims to foster collaboration among local organizations for effective emergency management in the YK Delta. This program establishes a framework for planning, communication, and coordination before, during, and after emergencies. Initiated after the 2009 Akiak flood, the Committee has evolved through various disaster responses, leading to the drafting of a comprehensive manual and an MOU with regional agencies. Future efforts include finalizing the MOU and formulating a region-wide Disaster Plan.
