Not far behind the list of companies working towards the growth of voice assistants and artificial intelligence technology is Amazon, which launched its very own voice-controlled AI called Alexa. After the significant success of Amazon Alexa, Amazon has now collaborated with Microsoft to put its best foot forward. If you own an Amazon Echo and also use Skype for your everyday calling and messaging, then there’s good news for you. The collaboration between Microsoft and Amazon has resulted into a collaboration between Skype calling and Amazon Echo. Now you will soon be able to make Skype calls via Amazon Alexa. Just say “Alexa, call John on Skype” and Alexa would search in its database and make a call to John instantly or announce “John is calling you on Skype” when you are receiving a call on Skype. Isn’t it amazing? It seems though! Hands-free calling on Skype is actually a great way to make use of Alexa for better call and internet usage. Moreover, if you also own a new innovative screen-toting Echo Shows, you will also be able to make video calls too. Amazon’s innovating voice-controlled AI, unmatched Amazon echo remote tech support and Microsoft’s popular online calling and messaging app Skype make a great combination. Though the feature is as cool as it sounds, it is not coming until later this year. According to Microsoft, a new update will soon come for the Skype app on mobile devices, Xbox one, and on PCs. The collaboration initially introduced Alexa incorporation on Windows 10 PCs, immediately after a public preview of Cortana integration on Alexa-powered speakers. In addition, Microsoft has also launched Alexa Support on the Xbox One Insiders, which will be available very soon. Amazon has been working really hard to bring a positive change with its artificial intelligence and collaborating with as many brands as it could to deliver a delightful customer experiences via voice, which initiated with connecting Alexa and Cortana. Since then, it has announced to add Alexa integration on Xbox, Skype and so much more and is continuing to work hard to bring the best for Amazon Alexa enabled devices.
