  1. DNA STRUCTURE

  2. DNA STRUCTURE • DNA stands for Deoxyribonucleic acid • DNA is a polymer. The monomer units of DNA are nucleotides, and the polymer is known as a "polynucleotide." http://www.blc.arizona.edu/Molecular_Graphics/DNA_Structure/DNA_Tutorial.HTML • Polymers called nucleotides, with backbonesmade of sugar and phosphategroups joined by bonds. These two strands run in different directions to each other and are therefore anti-parallel. One of four types of molecules called bases are attached to sugar.

  3. The structure of part of DNA is like a double helix

  4. TheHuman SKIN

  5. The Development of Human Skin • Skin development involves two types of tissues called the epidermal and neural crest. • The tissues are necessary to create differentiation to form the protective barrier in the stratum corneum. • http://books.google.com/books?id=KNQ9mY7ZkwUC&lpg=PA1&ots=M-_sqJJmGI&dq=development%20of%20human%20skin&pg=PA1#v=onepage&q=&f=false

  6. Adult Skin And Baby Skin

  7. Late Fetal Period and Structure • During this period, the skin can function and create this protective barrier found in the stratum corneum. • The maturing stratum corneum is important for the preterm infants health. • The skin has three layers : dermis .basement membrane and the epidermis . • The epidermis can be divided into four strata, representing each stage of terminal differentiation.
