  2. Map of Iran • A few of Iran’s physical features are the Caspian Sea,Persian Gulf,Gulf of Omen. Iran is located in south east Asia.

  3. The People of Iran • The official language is Persian. • The main religion is Islam • Both males and females are expected to live to the age of 69. • 82.4% of people over the age of 15 are educated.

  4. Iran’s Government • They have a republic government. • The person who is currently in control of the country is Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

  5. Iran’s Economy • Most of the industry in Iran is based on oil and copper mining. • In 2009 the average salary was $4,800.00/ per person in US currency.

  6. Iran in the 2010 Winter Olympics • 5 people participated • Only participated in one event, Alpine Skiing • Did not win any medals. • Have not broken any Olympic or World records.
