  10. 2011 Meet Schedule Meet Logistics • Swimmers & Volunteers must Register online for each event (Meet) • Swimmers must arrive 1 hour prior to Meet Start time for Check in and Warm Ups. • Swimmers check in with their Age Group Rounders Division B Opponent Franklin Park Stingrays

  11. Guidelines Swim Meets • Register swimmers availability through web-site for swim meets; by Saturday for Wednesday meets and by Tuesdays for Saturday meets. This ensures that your swimmer(s) will be present for swim meets. • CHANGE: This year parents will simply register swimmers as attending the meet or not. Coaches will make stroke/event determinations. • During swim meets, swimmers MUST stay in the team area and with their age group. This helps Rounder’s locate swimmers for events. In addition, swimmers MUST check in with Rounder’s prior to Warm-up. •  Swimmers MUST stay until the end of the swim meet. Relays will occur at the end of each meet and it is critical that ALL swimmers remain at the meet. (NOTE: As with other sports, all participants remain at the event until it is finished [e.g., soccer, baseball, football, lacrosse, etc.]. Swimming is at TEAM sport.  • Swimmers who do not “show” for swim meets (unless an illness or emergency occurs) WILL NOT swim in the following meet (Saturday or Wednesday). Franklin Park Stingrays

  12. End of Season Meets • Divisionals • 5 Divisional Meets - 5 teams per Division • We will be swimming Divisions at Belmont CC 7/23 • All Swimmers that swim at least 2 meets will qualify for Divisionals. • All Stars • Cut-times will be established for All-Stars • Any swimmer that achieves the cut-time will qualify for All-Stars in that Event. • Any swimmer to achieve a time better than the final cut-time will qualify for All-Stars. There may be ultimately more than 24 swimmers in an event in the All-Star Meet. • If a swimmer qualifies for 1 event for All-Stars, the swimmer may choose to go to All-Stars in the qualified event OR go to his/her Divisional Meet in any other event except the one qualified for in All-Stars. • If the swimmer chooses to swim at his/her divisional Meet, the swimmer forfeits the currently qualified for spot in All-Stars. Franklin Park Stingrays

  13. Volunteering • It takes 47 volunteers for a home meet and 35 volunteers for an away meet. • Each family is required to volunteer for 4 meets • If your family does not fulfill their volunteer obligations, then your swimmer will not be considered for early registration for returning swimmers. • Sign up volunteer positions will be on the website.  When you sign up your child for the meet, sign up to volunteer.  Volunteer signup will be available the week before each meet • Job descriptions are on the website under the volunteer tab with a link to the descriptions • If you do sign up and are not able to fulfill your commitment at the meet, make sure you unassign yourself on the website so someone else can fill your spot.  If this is after the cut off date YOU must find someone to replace you. • Please don't be afraid to sign up for something b/c you haven't done it before,, there will always be someone there to help you out! Franklin Park Stingrays

  14. Clerk of Course • Clerk of course runners – walks the swimmers to the chairs in the staging area so that everyone swims in the right lane. Even if you’ve never done it before, sign up, you will have lots of guidance. • Checking in with rounders is vital to the meet starting on time. Look for rounders with age group clipboard when you first arrive. • Importance of staying to end of meet for relays! If you leave early, then we have to look for a replacement for your swimmer in the relay and if we can’t find a replacement, then the entire relay team is scratched (can’t swim). • If there are extenuating circumstances and you need to leave early, please tell your rounders/head clerk of course immediately. • If your swimmer is already signed up for the meet, and you have an emergency (illness, etc.). there is a link on the homepage “Emergency Notification of Swim Meet Absence”. This prevents your swimmer from being a no-show and helps us run the meet more efficiently. Franklin Park Stingrays
