  3. Texas ePlan • Online Technology Planning System • Created under direction of TEA • With initial input by ETAC • Developed by the Technology Planning & E-Rate Support Center in collaboration with SCR-TEC • Programmed and hosted by SEDL

  4. Texas ePlan • Created to: • Provide a more efficient system of submitting technology plans for review and approval • Enable schools, districts, and ESCs to meet the planning requirements for NCLB (Title II, Part D), E-Rate, and the Texas Long-range Plan for Technology Recommendations

  5. Texas ePlan • All Texas public school districts, charter schools, and regional education service centers must submit a new or updated plan this year via the e-Plan system. • Statistics

  6. Texas Campus STaR Chart • All public and charter campuses required to submit plan this spring • Should be completed by campus principal • Statistics

  7. Levels of Technology Implementation • Dr. Christopher Moersch developed in 1994 • Measures authentic classroom technology use • Focuses on purposeful integration of technology to support: • Problem-solving • Performance-based assessment practices • Experiential learning

  8. Regional LoTi Data • 2,631surveys completed in 2003-04 • Over 60% of respondents are at LoTi levels 0-2. • Less than 8% of respondents are appropriately and effectively integrating technology.
