  2. History of French Fries • The French fry was invented by the Belgium when they were frying fish but it was too cold to get fish from the river so they started frying slices of potatoes.

  3. Different Names • The British people call French Fries chips because they are a lot thicker than here in America. • The Spanish called them “truffles”. • And the Belgium's call French Fries ‘frietkots” or “Fritures” • The frenchcall them Pommes Frites

  4. Different Styles • There are many different styles of French Fries including, Smiley Fries, Waffle Fries, Shoestring, Steak Fries, and many more…

Fun French Fry Facts! • French fries with the skin on are vitamin rich. • Belgium’s consume the most French fries out of all the countries in Europe. • Estimated 80 percent of households in UK buy frozen fries each year. • Originally from Belgium but during world war 1 the French took them and told every one that they made them. That’s how they were called French Fries.
