  2. Radial club hand • Absence of whole or part of radius • Hand is in radial deviation • Isolated or associated other anomalies (cardiac, blood, vertebral, GI) • Rx : manipulation + splintage surgery

  3. Madelung deformity • Congenital or posttraumatic • Lower radius curves forward & medially • Rx : if function affected  osteotomy

  4. Kienbock disease • = crushing osteochondritis of lunate • It is AVN of lunate • Cause : unknown • May be : relatively short ulna

  5. CF: wrist pain & weak grip • XR:  bone density collapse OA • Rx : splintage shortening of radius arthrodesis

  6. De Quervain`s disease • Tenosynovitis of the compartment of APL & EPB • Cause : overuse • CF : middle aged female pain & swelling over radial styloid Finkelstein t.

  7. Rx : NSAIDS steroid injection surgery

  8. Ganglion • Commonest swelling in the wrist • Pathology : myxoid degeneration in a ligament or capsule • It is a cyst that contains mucoid material • CF : painless swelling

  9. Rx : removal if troublesome or unsighty • Recurrence is common
