  1. Presented by the Rotary Club of Ignacio Labor Day at the Lake

  2. We had a good “RUN”We need a fundraiser • We spend over $30,000 in our annual giving • Color Run is dead. • We did 90%+ of the work • We controlled each little aspect • We did it right, but the idea is not “hip” and doesn’t draw enough participation from sponsors, runners, or our geographic region

  3. Fundraisers offer more than just money • On boarding potential New Members • Name Recognition in the community • Announcing and sharing our Club’s good works and public support • While offering a community event offers multiple return

  4. A New Model! • Our Rotary would play a coordinator role • Our “partners” would be asked to supply: • Volunteers - Equipment -Organization • They keep their revenue, they get marketing

  5. A New Model!

  6. PLUS… • We get their audience to attend the event • Get their market reach • And we support local community organizations in financial AND marketing ways

  7. PLUS… • The Event is good for community • It would be spectacular to resurrect an event from the dead • We have 1 year to plan

  8. Going for us | 2019 vs 2007 • Social Media • Additional Transportation Resources • Solo Firework Show in the Bay Area + Yolo, Mendocino and Lake Counties • We can potential pull sponsors from a great metro-area • The event is regional so we may be able to pull large ticket sponsors • Community Support • A NEW MODEL

  9. Goal Timeline • Gather Club Buy-in By late August 2018 • Make teaser announcements by Labor Day 2018 • Fully announce the event by November of 2018 • Gather early sponsors • Gather interested Partners by January for a Stake-holder’s meeting • Assign tasks to partners by Feb/March 2019 • Confirm plan with partners at a June Stake-holder’s Meeting • Continue Marketing Plan • Announce partner participation throughout

  10. What we need • Your buy-in • Committee chairs to step up • Executive • Communication PR • Infrastructure / Safety • Food/Beverage • Activities / Youth • Transportation • Parking • Volunteer / Personnel • Swag & Sponsors
