  2. DNA Position/Role • Official Agency responsible for the whole CDM Process in the host countries • Official Counterpart of the Executive Board • Official Counterpart of the CDM Investor Partners • Follow up the CDM process at international level

  3. DNA Prerogatives • Follow up the implementation of the CDM Strategy in the country, and coordinate all CDM activities • Promote, establish and put into force the rules and regulations (national and international) regarding the CDM in the Country

  4. DNA prerogatives/activities • Implement the CDM procedures in the country • Implement a Registry system for CDM projects in the country

  5. DNA prerogatives/activities • Promote the CDM process in the country • Develop capacities to have a wider spread of the CDM project preparation capabilities

  6. Assist in identifying CDM projects • Prepare and update Project porfolios • Promote the CDM Potential at international level • Maintain a CDM data base encompassing all the relevant information and data • Assist in leveraging resources for CDM projects DNA prerogatives/activities

  7. DNA prerogatives/activities • State the criteria for project approval, including SD criteria • Implement a project approval procedure • Evaluate projects as regards to their contribution to SD, Baselines, PDD, and Deliver approvals • Follow up all the project-cycle steps, including hiring DOEs and following the Monitoring processes

  8. DNA prerogatives/activities • Integrate the CDM within the existing investment framework • Liaise with all relevant institutions and stakeholders, in particularly the private sector • Create Strategic Partnerships

  9. DNA prerogatives/activities • Communicate using the appropriate tools • Publish an Annual Report
