  1. HPPS long ring options

  2. HPPS long V1 QH1 QH3 QH4 QH2 • NMC cell without the middle dipole and QH3 splitted • μx=0.8 (still for a resonant arc with 5 NMC cells) • Reduced filling factor • Long straight section: μx=0.44, μy=0.56  slightly larger than previous version (is this enough for the collimation system?)

  3. Circ.: 1256.3 γt=-14.7 Max quad pole tip: 1.7 T @ 50 GeV @ QH3 Dipole gapy=119 mm Ring params

  4. Working point • (Qx,Qy)=(13.32,7.27) • No crossing of the integer (better than in the case of the previous WP) • FM of the previous lattice showed that the (2, -2) not a limitation  needs to be confirmed • Difficult to tune in larger Qx without changing the arc μx • In any case in a more uniform distribution the nectai less wide • SC tune shift up to 4.5 σx,y • DA, FM and tunability studies needed

  5. Space charge • εx=11.9 μm-rad • εy=14.78 μm-rad

  6. Magnet parameters @ 50 GeV V1.1 Dipoles: gap_x=158.6 mm gap_y=118.7 mm

  7. HPPS long V2 • NMC cell without the middle dipole • μx=0.8 (still for a resonant arc with 5 NMC cells) • Reduced filling factor • Long straight section: μx=0.47, μy=0.5  is this enough for the collimation system?

  8. Circ.: 1256.3 γt=-13.2 Max quad pole tip: 1.16 T @ 50 GeV @ QH4 Dipole gapy=114 mm Large betas Ring optics and WP v2.1

  9. Circ.: 1256.3 γt=-13.7 Max quad pole tip: 1.16 T @ 50 GeV @ QH4 Dipole gapy=123.7 mm Larger betas Ring optics and WP v2.2

  10. Working point • V2.1 • (Qx,Qy)=(13.41,9.6) • SC tune shift up to 4.5 σx,y • DA, FM and tunability studies needed • V2.2 • (Qx,Qy)=(13.23,9.23) • SC tune shift up to 4.5 σx,y

  11. Space charge • εx=13.4 μm-rad • εy=13.45 μm-rad

  13. Circ.: 1256.3 γt=-26.1 Max quad pole tip: 1.19 T @ 50 GeV @ QH3 Dipole gapx=128 mm Dipole gapy=105 mm Ring optics v2.3

  14. Ring optics v2.3

  15. Working point V23 • V2.3 • (Qx,Qy)=(13.875,12.31) • SC tune shift up to 4.5 σx,y

  16. Space charge & emittance V23 • εx=13.4 μm-rad • εy=13.45 μm-rad

  17. Magnet parameters 50 GeV Dipoles: gap_x=127.9 mm gap_y=104.9 mm 75 GeV Dipoles: gap_x=118.7 mm gap_y=88.3 mm
