  1. She's still got it! Infamous Instagram star Baddie Winkle, 86, poses up in a selection of fashion-forward swimwear as she lands her second ad campaign this year By CHARLIE LANKSTON FOR DAILYMAIL.COM PUBLISHED: 23:20 BST, 9 April 2015 | UPDATED: 14:05 BST, 10 April 2015 Outrageous octogenarian and Instagram star Baddie Winkle, 86, has landed her second fashion campaign of the year, this time modeling a collection of swimwear for Los Angeles- based street style company Dimepiece. The social media sensation, from Kentucky, who first rose to fame in April last year when she launched her Instagram account, showcases two of the brand's monochrome swimsuit designs for the ad. In one set of pictures, Baddie, who boasts 750,000 Instagram followers, can be seen wearing a black swimsuit and matching kimono-style top, and brandishing some fruity accessories; one shot sees her waving two pineapples by her head, while another shows her using a banana as a telephone. Feeling fruity: Baddie Winkle appears in a new ad campaign for LA-based clothing label Dimepiece Take a dip: The 86-year-old social media star models a selection of the brand's swimwear designs Another of the images sees Baddie, whose real name is Helen Ruth Van Winkle, posing up in a white swimsuit, lounging on a bright yellow lilo next to the pool, while surrounded by some pineapples. In all of the images, Baddie accessorizes her looks with a different pair of big and bold sunglasses, while a number of the pictures also see her modeling a selection of chunky, gold jewelry. Far from being just another clotheshorse for the brand's designs however, Dimepiece has actually dedicated the entire State of Mind campaign to Baddie, giving it the hashtag #stateofwinkle. Indeed, according to a post on Baddie's Instagram account, the brand chose her as its latest campaign star in the hopes of proving that fashion and female empowerment are not biased towards any age group.

  2. +6 • Cheeky: According to Dimepiece, Baddie was chosen as the face of this campaign because she proves that you are 'you’re never too old to be the baddest bish in the room (sic)' +6 • Cheers! Baddie is renowned for posting a selection of weird, wonderful and often outrageous pictures on her Instagram account 'Instagram sensation @baddiewinkle teams up with @DimepieceLA to prove, once again, that you’re never too old to be the baddest bish in the room (sic),' Baddie wrote on her Instagram account, alongside a picture from the campaign. 'The 86-year-old Kentuckian is the face of Dimepiece’s“State of Mind” campaign. The brand has always stood for timeless female empowerment and continues to encourage this mindset in their newest campaign.' She adds that the images from her campaign are set to appear on a Coachella-based billboard in California, just in time for the music festival, which begins this weekend in the Colorado desert. Just last month, Baddie was transformed into some of pop culture's most recognizable icons as part of a launch campaign for Grit, a new Brooklyn-based creative agency.

  3. State of Winkle: Dimepiece have created a special Baddie-inspired hashtag in the hopes of raising more awareness about the campaign Festival fashion: A billboard showcasing some of the ad images is set to appear at Coachella this weekend The photoshoot saw the grandmother take on the roles of supermodel Kate Moss, Nirvana rocker Kurt Cobain, and model and muse Michelle Lamy, wife of designer Rick Owens. 'A true firecracker, Baddie first caught out eye on Instagram where the posts pictures of herself wearing tie-dye bathing suits and streetwear while telling off all the haters,’ a spokesperson explained. 'With thousands of followers and fans among the likes of Drake, Rihanna and Miley Cyrus, Baddie is an inspiration and proof that energy, hustle and general badassed-ness don’t disappear with age.' Baddie, who has become renowned for her weird, wonderful and occasionally downright shocking Instagram posts, has always been keen to demonstrate to the world that she isn't afraid about what they think about her.

  4. +6 • Loud and proud: Earlier this year, Baddie told Daily Mail Online that she is 'amazed about the amount of publicity I have received from my postings' Swimsuit edition: Baddie is no stranger to poolside shoots, having posted this image on her Instagram account in summer last year Indeed, one of her favorite slogans, which she frequently shares in one guise or another, be it on a T-shirt, or stamped across her forehead, is 'Stealing your man since 1928'. Earlier this year, Baddie told Daily Mail Online that her goals in 2015 were 'to continue to decide to be happy, eat more chocolate, try more new things and do a cool reality series on how to be a Baddie'. 'I have something to look forward to each day and it helps to inspire others young and old. I get to make others laugh and not take life so seriously,' she added. 'I am absolutely amazed about the amount of publicity I have received from my postings. I am blown away but I love it and each day I look to see how many more followers I have received. 'It's a great feeling knowing I'm impacting others lives but in reality the love and sweet words make my life much better. It really helps me more than I am helping others.' fashion-forward-swimwear-lands-second-ad-campaign-year.html
