ParkJam, led by Jacek Kopecký and developed at The Open University, addresses urban parking challenges. Utilizing crowdsourced location data and a location-aware mobile app, this project provides real-time parking availability, helping users find spaces efficiently. Implemented for Android, ParkJam leverages open data sources like OpenStreetMap and local city information from Milton Keynes. As part of its community engagement, ParkJam runs through social media, offers demonstrations, and promotes ongoing updates to its technology.
