  2. Introduction to Health • Following the conference in Strasbourg, the Health group decided to focus on these two main areas of health: • Mental Health • Addiction • Article 24 and 33 of UNCRC.

  3. Action One • Send the Council of Europe lesson plans based on best practices from member countries that can be used across Europe to educate about mental health. This is to be supported with a letter written by the Irish Ombudsperson for Children Emily Logan.

  4. Action Two • Young people to set up a petition to promote awareness of the need for social education in all schools across Europe. This petition is also to be sent to the council of Europe. http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/compulsorysocialeducation/

  5. Action Three • Young people to survey young people about mental health services in their country and they will collate the information.

  6. Action Four • Educating the media about mental health. • Young People to contact local media. • Ombudsmen to contact national media.

  7. Action Five • Finnish Ombudsperson to keep ENYA and ENOC up to date with the change in law regarding advertising images promoting alcohol.

  8. Action Six • For ombudsperson at a national level and young people to promote an understanding of the political process and voting.

  9. Action Seven • Ombudsmen to encourage national governments to consult young people on campaigns that show the long term impact of addictions.
