  3. ESU 4 Energy Academy • The mission of the Energy Academy will be to provide opportunities for real world learning and application in the science and business of energy generation & distribution

  4. Energy Exploration Course Curriculum • Semester-long course • Taught by local high school instructors • Four-unit course with focus on safety, business and careers

  5. Curriculum Writing Team Energy Exploration course Comprised of: ESU 4 Area Instructors Omaha Public Power District ESU 4 Personnel Nebraska Department of Education Nebraska Public Power District Southeast Community College

Units of Energy Exploration Course • Unit 1 – Energy Fundamentals • Build a foundation of knowledge centered on energy and energy transformations • Unit 2 – Energy Production • Various types of energy generation • Unit 3 – Energy Delivery • Investigate how energy is delivered • Unit 4 – Energy Responsibility and Decisions • The student will explore society’s responsibility in energy usage and how it affects the environment.
