  5. Tray Tower • We place a radiation source on one side of the tower and a detector in the opposite side. Both are aligned at the top of the column, and then synchronously lower down. • The amount of radiation that passed through the column depend on the density of the material between the source and the detector. • The presence of liquid on the trays and the absence of liquid in the vapor spaces affect the radiation that passed through the column.
