How to Schedule Videos Using WMS Video Distribution

This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to use the WMS Video Distribution system to schedule videos. Log in with your username and password, then search for the video title you want to show. If you’re unsure of the title, use the Destiny system or browse in the media center. After finding your video, select a start and end time, choose a date, and save your schedule. Don’t forget to notify Dr. Harris about your scheduled video. On the viewing day, log in again to access the control tab for video playback.

  1. How to Use WMS Video Distribution Click Here

  2. Login: Your user name is: rm(and your room number) Your password is: your room number

  3. Click on the Search tab.

  4. Type in the title of the video you wish to show. You can click View All. BUT, if you aren’t sure what you want or don’t know the exact title, it may be easier to use Destiny to look up titles or come to the media center and browse.

  5. Once you’ve found the video you want, click Schedule.

  6. Select a start time and end time that includes the whole day. You can determine when it actually starts and stops, but if you only schedule through 3:00, it will shut down at 3:00. Pick the date you want to show the video. Select Save Schedule.

  7. A confirmation page will open. Once you have scheduled a video, email Dr. Harris and let him know what video and when you are showing it.

  8. On the day you are scheduled to view the video, log in again and choose the Control tab.

  9. Note: this page also tells you what TV channel to use. A screen like this will open and will serve as a remote control for the video.
