  6. Common foods in Trinidad and Tobago (breakfast) • Doubles (sandwich made with 2 flat pieces of bread called “bara” and curried chick peas or garbanzo beans) • Bake and shark • Sada roti • Coconut bread • Crix crackers and cheese • Crab & dumpling. (famous Tobago food)

  7. Common Food in Trinidad and Tobago(lunch & dinner) • Chicken roti. • Macaroni pasta or pie • Calalloo. • Pelau. • Curry duck, chicken or even shrimp. • Cascadura (a small fresh waster fish. Local legend says that whoever eats the fish, will come to Trinidad to end their days)

  9. Precautionary Measures in Trinidad and Tobago • Crime and chaos are the two common things in Trinidad today. Tobago does not have this chaos but in some areas it is very quiet. • Consult people of whom you can trust. • Drive cautiously on the roads but not too cautiously. • Store your personal belongings deep down inside your storage compartment.

Transportation • Just a 15 minute flight from Trinidad to Tobago. • Or, if you need to carry your car there, a two hour boat ride from Trinidad to Tobago. • Take a Maxi-Taxi (only $10TT) • Rent a car with GPS if necessary. • You can board a Bus to get to simple areas such as a school. Shopping Centers • West Mall (the falls) the mall can’t only lure you to its high quality stores but its scenery both inside and outside the falls. • Trincity Mall one of the largest malls in Trinidad and you can never say “ there’s nothing to do” once inside! • Long Circular Mall though old fashioned, this mall has some great restuarants on the top floor. • Scarborough Mall though under-populated, costumer service is super.

  14. Sporting Activities • Cricketwe are big fans of the West Indies • Footballour team is called the “Soca Warriors” • Golfyou are always welcomed at any of our golf courses • Hockey we found a way to play on land • Basketball all schools take part in this sport • Tennis popular sport.

In Case of Emergency • On a rare occasion you will hear of a hurricane warning or an earthquake will strike. • Some hospitals in T & T are: West Shore Medical, Medical Associates, St. Clair Medical, Port-of-Spain General, San Fernando General, Fracture and Orthopaedics hospital. • For each/most towns and cities there is a health center.
