  1. UNIT VI, Lesson 3 一.) chorng/tsorng重 “once again” (preceding the verb) 1. 這件事我們重來一次吧。 Jey jiann shyh woo.men chorng lai i-tsyh .ba. Let’s do this over once more. 二.) yawminq 要命 following an adjective plus .de: “terribly” 1. 上次考試難得要命。 Shang-tsyh kao-shih nan .de yawminq. The last test was terribly difficult. 2. 現在住在日本貴得要命。 Shianntzay juh tzay Ryhbeen guey .de yawminq. Now a days, living in Japan is extremely expensive.

The reason why we can’t go home now is that we haven’t finished (taking) the exams. 2. 他因為甚麼緣故不願意跟我們玩儿呢? Ta inwey sherm.me yuanguh bu yuannyih gen woo.men wan .ne? What’s the reason he’s unwilling to sport with us?

Mr. Wang was bitten by a dog. 2. 李小姐的自行車被一輛汽車(給)碰壞了。 Lii Sheaujiee .de tzyhshyngche bey i-liang chihche (geei) penq-huay .le. Miss Lee’s bicycle was damaged by a car. 七.) Sheaushin 小心 “careful” 1. 這件事你得非常小心。 Jey-jiann shyh nii deei feicharng sheaushin. You must be very careful about this matter.

  6. UNIT VI, Lesson 3 八.) Yuannyih 願意 “be willing”; “wish, like, want” 1. 丁當非常願意幫我們的忙。 Ding Dang feicharng yuannyih bang woo.men .de mang. Ding Dang is extraordinarily willing to help us. 2. 他願意你留在這儿。 Ta yuannyih nii liou tzay jell. He wants you to stay here. 九.) De 得 indicating degree of an adjective, followed by a phrase. 1. 張儒思氣得站起來了。 Jang Rusy chih .de jann.chiilai .le. Jang Rusy was infuriated to the point that he stood up.
