  6. Regular/Irregular Verbs Basic forms of a verb are: • Present • Present participle • Past • Past participle A verb is regular when its past and past participle are formed by adding –ed. A verb is irregular when its past and past participle are formed in some other way.

  7. Present Perfect, Past, Perfect, and Future Perfect • Present perfect tense verbs are made up of has or have and a past participle • Past perfect tense verbs are made up of had and a past participle • Future perfect tense verbs are made up of will have and a participle
