  1. How to be safe on Kidworks A Port Discovery social story written by, Kori Bardige, MS.Ed. [Abilities Network]Project ACT www.abilitiesnetwork.org

  2. When I go to Port Discovery I can have fun climbing in the KidWorks maze. But I have to remember to try to follow the rules so I can stay safe.

  3. I need to wait my turn if someone is in front of me. I may need to wait in line. A grownup will tell me when its my turn to climb the ladder .

  4. I need to remember I have to climb up the ladders. If I want to get out, I can climb up and find an exit.

  5. When I go down the slide, I will try to remember to go feet first so I stay safe.

  6. While I’m climbing up Kidworks I may not be able to see . He/She (parent, teacher, chaperone) will be walking up the stairs to meet me when I come out. If I need help, I can find a staff member wearing a red apron and ask for help.

  7. When I follow the rules, I have lots of fun playing on KidWorks!
